Frequently asked questions
It has been 20 years since our beloved MaDear passed, and it has been even longer since we’ve had one of our traditional family reunions. Through the years there have been discussions amongst many to celebrate our family like we did in “the old days.” Those discussions are finally being brought to fruition. We thought there was no better way to celebrate as a family than to honor our matriarch’s legacy during her birthday weekend!
No, not quite. For the 2023 event, the focus is just on MaDear’s children and legacy.
Yes. However, the main focus this year is bringing MaDear’s children and their offspring together.
Communication first went out to MaDear’s children and first grandchildren. We used a phone tree method of communication. We sent texts and reached out via Facebook. However, we recognize we may have unintentionally missed some people (blame it on our minds, not our hearts).
Some families are reserving lodging via AirBNB; while others are staying with family or in hotels. Should you choose to go the hotel route, we are working to reserve room blocks. Details for hotel accommodations will be provided at a later date.
Each attendee will pay the registration fee. You should pay your registration fee at the time of registration via the methods identified above. Family members 13 years old and up will pay $180; children ages 8-12 years old will pay a $85 registration fee (children 7 yrs & younger are $FREE.99!)
Note: For the purposes of planning, a payment plan is not ideal. However, we understand individual circumstances may make this the most viable solution. If this is the case, please contact the planning committee at the following email: madearsfamilytree@gmail.com.(http://mailto%20madearsfamilytree@gmail.com/) An arrangement can be made, but the final payment must be received by August 1, 2023.
Unfortunately, no. Please prepare to pay the entire registration fee.
